Experience:
Christine has directed finance and human resources at Slatter Construction since she and her husband, Vann Slatter, founded the company. Her role at the core of the company is multi-facetedóshe oversees accounting and payroll, manages relationships with local banks and insurers, and shepherds the company's 401K program, which was created to formalize employee profit-sharing.
Currently, Christine splits her time between duties at Slatter Construction and Hunter Hill Wineryóher latest venture with Vann, who is enjoying a successful second career as a winemaker. Acting as chief sales and marketing officer for the winery, Christine is earning wide recognition and placement for the outstanding varietals produced by Hunter Hill Winery.
Christine began her career in finance at World Savings as a bank teller, where she learned the basic principles of bookkeeping and customer service: accountability, honesty and kindness. She then worked as a full charge bookkeeper at Berger Lewis for ten years, managing accounts for some twenty small business clients. Her experience in all aspects of finance, internal systems management and customer service set an early standard for professional behavior that is maintained by company to this day.
