HomeBuilding Green

Slatter Construction is experienced in all aspects of environmentally responsible construction. We are a member of the US Green Building Council and our staff has received LEED accreditation. We are happy to make environmentally sensitive project design, energy and material decisions that often result in cost savings to our clients.

We find that another component of going green is the development of a more pleasurable living environment. Natural lighting and materials provide a healthier, more pleasant quality of life for a building’s inhabitants. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health:

  • sustainable site development
  • water savings
  • energy efficiency
  • materials selection
  • indoor environmental quality
